After your orientation, helmets, and trail information, head west on local roads toward Black Canyon Lane.

Leave Heber ATV Rentals Turning right onto hwy 260 and travel to:

Black Canyon Lane It will be on the left after the Big Red Barn

Continue until it connects with:

Black Canyon Road make a right onto Blak Canyon Rd

The scenery quickly changes from open grasslands into tall ponderosa pine forest.

Expect:

Continue on Black Canyon Road until you reach the Y 487 and 86:

Forest Road 487

Turn onto FR 487 and continue climbing toward the Mogollon Rim.

• Smooth forest roads 

FR 487 eventually connects with the famous:

Forest Road 300 (Rim Road) Turn right towards Black Canyon Lake

This historic road follows the edge of the Mogollon Rim for miles and is considered one of Arizona's premier off-road drives.
